"Desert Mountains", 12x12"

CA$159.00
Sold Out

This painting was inspired by a particular photo taken while hiking the Larapinta Trail in the Northern Territory of Australia (see in the slide show to the left). This was my first experience doing any kind of overnight backpack hiking, and it was truly a life-changing experience as I have continued to backpack hike to this day (and plan to continue forever!). I love that what you see on the trail is a sight seen by so few— there is something about walking into the wild places, far from civilization, just out in the middle of nowhere, where you find it’s just you and nature alone. Truly alone. That is where (for me) the true adventure begins and where I find the most healing. Where and how do you love to experience the wild places the most?

I hope you sense the magical energy of the mountains when you look at this painting. Let it be a gentle reminder of the beauty that resides in your life, even if at times it’s a little more hidden than we’d like it to be. Close your eyes, take a deep breath, escape to your happy place, and enjoy.

Welcome to the Wild Places, love.

12x12” cold wax and oil paint on handcrafted wood panel. Not framed. For framing options contact me and we will create something just for you! Painting comes ready to hang.
